Pre-College Program

Home / Pre-College Program

The aim of the pre-college level is to equip students with the foundational academic skills, critical thinking abilities, and study habits necessary for success in higher education. This preparatory phase serves as a crucial bridge between secondary education and university studies, addressing the unique challenges faced by students from conflict-affected areas who may have experienced interrupted or inconsistent schooling.

Learning Outcomes

Academic Foundation: Students receive comprehensive instruction to bridge gaps in core subjects, strengthening their command of fundamental concepts and developing the ability to apply knowledge across different contexts required for college-level coursework.

English Language Proficiency: The program emphasizes developing students’ reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills, enabling them to engage confidently with academic texts, participate in classroom discussions, and express their ideas clearly in written assignments.

Social Studies and Contextual Understanding: The curriculum incorporates social studies to broaden students’ understanding of historical, cultural, and societal issues, helping them develop informed perspectives and engage meaningfully with diverse ideas in their future academic environments.

Computing Literacy: Students develop essential digital skills including word processing, spreadsheet applications, presentation software, online research, and email communication, preparing them to navigate digital learning platforms and complete technology-dependent assignments in college.

Critical Thinking and Study Skills: The program cultivates learning strategies including time management, research methods, note-taking, and analytical reading. Students learn to approach problems systematically, evaluate information critically, and develop independent learning capabilities for their academic careers.
